Hyundai close to perfect conclusion in Japan

In Japan this weekend, the crowning of a Hyundai crew is already guaranteed, but another battle will rage: the Constructors' title. If the South Korean clan leads by a short head, nothing is decided, especially because the final will take place on Toyota's home turf.

Hyundai close to perfect conclusion in Japan

15 points. This is the lead that Hyundai face Toyota at the start of this 13th and final round. Fifteen is a lot and a little at the same time considering the distribution of rewards and this Japanese meeting will be the epilogue of a season that will have been sportingly exciting to follow. The WRC is certainly weighed down by the poverty of the Rally1 plateaus, the worrying uncertainty concerning 2026 (Toyota only opposed to M-Sport ?) and the cloudiness surrounding the technical regulations, but the competition was thrilling. Was a final twist possible?

In the World Rally Championship, the Constructors' title has always been less valued. Since M-Sport cannot claim it due to lack of resources, the discipline only has one duel to offer, but it was very indecisive. The first two meetings set the tone. Toyota left Monte-Carlo with a 1-point lead and Hyundai equalized in Sweden. Ball in the center! Kenya and Croatia were favorable to the team led by Jari-Matti Latvala.
