Titled in Junior in ERC Last year, the Fayence driver obtained authorization to compete this year in WRC3 without having to complete an additional season in the European championship. Author of an impressive road exit at rally du Var 2021, “JB” was not completely recovered for the opening of the competition in February in Umeå in Sweden. Wishing to be 100% physically, he only appeared in Croatia. Author of a wise race for his discovery of the Ford Fiesta Rally3 which is the unique vehicle of this series, he had seen his consistency work with an unexpected 3rd place in the final. His real debut in Junior was to take place in Portugal, but a few hours before the reconnaissance, he preferred to give up. Warned late, M-Sport Poland still prepared and brought the 26-year-old driver's car, which will therefore remain in the service park. By not participating in Portugal, Franceschi is giving up on WRC3 and undoubtedly on the reward acquired a few months ago. Near Renault last year, does this mean that the Frenchman will now devote himself solely to the development of the future Clio Rally3? What is certain is that his world career has just taken a strange turn.
