When did the decision to part ways with Oliver Solberg come about?

It was taken after careful consideration. It took some time, but the final decision was made during the rally from New Zealand.

Is this due to the team in Germany or South Korea?

It came from the team, in Alzenau. However, for such important matters, Korea is of course in the loop.

What are your personal feelings about the discontinuation of this program? Where is the point in putting in place such an investment so as not to reap the benefits?

It's difficult to deliver it, because it's a collective decision. There may therefore be differences of point of view, but once the choice has been made, you must stick to it. I really appreciate Oliver, who always respected the team, who was involved, who gave us a lot of feedback. He showed encouraging performances in the last two rallies. Of course, we worked with him and, therefore, invested in his potential for a certain time, so we can regret not seeing the process through to the end. However, this did not correspond to the results expectations for 2023 and the need to have a composition of experienced crews to aim for maximum points on each round.

Should we deduce that Hyundai ne croit pas au potentiel d’Oliver Solberg ?

Everyone has their own point of view on each driver. Oliver has potential, there is no doubt about it, but we have to think about the championship that is coming.

Have you already contacted a 4th pilot?

Of course. We have contacted or been contacted by some.

For Oliver, is the door closed or is the solution of a 4th car possible?

A 4th car is not on the agenda.
