Sweden's promotion set for tomorrow

The FIA confirmed last Friday that negotiations with Eurosport had failed, leaving the WRC without a promoter for the 2012 season one week before Rally from Sweden. The organizers of the second round of the year have since worked tirelessly to find an additional promoter to provide the images and thus ensure the broadcast of the event. Although negotiations with Filmworks seem to be on the right track, the contract has not yet been signed. The ultimatum to find a promoter was set for noon tomorrow.

Glenn Olsson, general manager of Rally Sweden, explains that the expectation is sparked by the organizers' assessment of seeking financial balance. “The Finnish company Filmworks, which has produced TV programs in WRC for five years, is ready to arrive quickly in Sweden. But we cannot make any decisions about production until we are sure that we have a balance between revenue and expenditure. »
