With Tommi Mäkinen having decided to remove him from the “official” Toyota squad, the Finn finds himself without a complete program for 2020. Not considering hanging up, the most experienced driver in the WRC is struggling to race next year.

What state of mind are you in?

Je vais relativement bien. C’est certain que lorsque j’ai appris, il y a quelques semaines, que je ne piloterai pas (pour Toyota. Ndlr) l’an prochain, j’ai été très déçu et je ne me sentais vraiment pas bien. Aujourd’hui… ça peut aller.

Is it easy to continue moving forward after what happened?

I do not have a choice ! I must only look ahead, not behind. It wouldn't do any good. I'm focused on what I can try to do in 2020.

Do you have any regrets about 2019?
