For a blink and a flash, time stopped. Having been racing for a few minutes in the first of the three special stages planned for the final stage of the championship, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia hit a low wall demarcating a chicane on the famous transalpine banking. The noise sent shivers down the spine, the shower of sparks made people fear the worst. The Frenchman's gaze immediately went to his dashboard to watch for signs of a puncture... which will never come.
