The route of the 2021 Monte-Carlo Rally modified

The Automobile Club of Monaco has indicated that the final stage of the 2021 Monte-Carlo Rally will not pass through the famous Col de Turini, the route having been modified after the recent and dramatic bad weather in the Bollène-Vésubie region.

The route of the 2021 Monte-Carlo Rally modified

This Wednesday, November 18 marks the start of the official procedure for opening entries for the 2021 edition of the Rally Monte Carlo, which is to open the season World Rally Championship from January 21 to 24.

An event which will see its route modified on its last stage, since the Col de Turini will not be on the program next year. The organizers have decided, out of respect for the victims in the Alpes-Maritimes around La Bollène-Vésubie after the recent and dramatic bad weather, to modify the route of the final day of Sunday January 24.

Exit the ES La Maïris – Moulinet and Col St Jean – Col de l'Orme, and make way for two special stages in a well-known area of ​​the rally, with Puget-Théniers – La Penne (SS 13/15, 12,93km, 08:30 a.m. / 10:45 a.m.) and Briançonnet – Entrevaux (SS 14/16, 14,31km, 10:08 a.m. / 12:18 p.m.). For a total of 54,48 km against the clock.

The rest of the route remains the same as that determined in mid-July.
