The route of the Tour de Corse 2019 is taking shape

A few days ago, Porto-Vecchio was confirmed as the departure city for the next Tour of Corsica, round counting for the 2019 World Rally Championship (March 28-31).

The route for the island event was subsequently clarified, with fourteen special stages on the menu for the competitors, for a route totaling 347,51 km of competitive sectors.

The first day will be special since without assistance, with nearly 61 km of special stages (distributed over a loop of three special stages to be completed twice). The new Bavella ES (17,60 km) will open the rally, before the long ES of 25,94 km of Valinco, shortened by more than 15 km compared to the same route taken in 2015, and Alta-Rocca (17,37 km).

Saturday's day, organized around Bastia, will also include two loops of three special stages, with the highest mileage on a single stage for this 2019 edition. The Castagniccia ES will once again be the summit of this Tour de Corse with more than 45 km on the program.

Only two stages will be contested on Sunday, including the Power Stage organized on the Calvi course.
