Second stage of this 2025 championship WRC : the famous Rally from Sweden, the only one to be held on snow on the calendar! On the program: 301,16 kilometers of timed courses and the number of special stages is identical to 2023 and 2024, namely 18 SS (including four new special stages).
On the side of Toyota, there will be “only” four Yaris at the start following to the last minute package of private pilot Lorenzo Bertelli. On the official drivers' side, the recent winner of the Monte-Carlo Rally Sébastien Ogier is unsurprisingly missing from the call while the Japanese manufacturer will be represented by Kalle Rovanperä, Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari. At Hyundai, no change: the world champion Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak et Adrien fourmaux will be the representatives of Hyundai. No trace, however, of the reigning winner of the Rally of Sweden, Esapekka Lappi.
Finally, four Ford Pumas are expected on the Swedish snow. In addition to the holders of M-Sport, Grégoire Munster and Josh McErlean, Jourdan Serderidis and Martins Sesks will be there. For the latter, it will be the first outing of the season. Recently, the Latvian confirmed his program for the 2025 campaign which will see him participate in a total of six rounds starting with Sweden. Note the presence of Claire Schönborn and Lyssia Baudet in Rally3, finalists of the Beyond Rally 2024 program. This round will allow them to be separated. Thus, the one who finishes in front of the other in Umeå will continue the season in Junior WRC 2025.
