Two weeks after the Rally from Croatia, it's already time for the crews of the WRC to get back in the saddle, with the fifth round of the 2026 World Rally Championship, the Canary Islands Rally. A new event on asphalt, which should nevertheless offer a different challenge than that of the Rally Croatia, which quickly turned into a survival test, and which saw Yohan Rossel's Lancia Rally2 reach fourth place in the overall standings.

As expected, the reigning world champions, Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais will be at the starting line driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, bringing the number of cars in the top category in the Canary Islands this weekend to ten. The rally will begin on Thursday, with the first run through the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Super Special Stage, followed by 17 more timed sectors until Sunday, where, as always, the rally will conclude with a Power Stage, awarding five points to the fastest driver.

The Canary Islands Rally will be covered in its entirety all weekend on AUTOhebdo.fr, with live text commentary.
