The Safari Rally Kenya 2024 program

After the icy asphalt of Rally Monte-Carlo and the heavy snow of the Swedish Rally, head to Kenya for the muddy and sandy roads of the Safari Rally! The third stage of the 2024 season of WRC is going to Africa for the one and only time of the year, for an event that promises to be spectacular again! Indeed, the Safari Rally was brought forward from June to the end of March, in the middle of the rainy season. Enough to spice up this legendary WRC event a little more, which returned to the calendar in 2021.

Toyota remains on two consecutive quadruplets in Kenya, a performance that the Japanese team will not be able to repeat this weekend because only three GT Yaris Rally1s are entered, with the duo Elfyn Evans – Takamoto Katsuta completed by Kalle Rovanperä.

Winner in Sweden in February for his first appearance of the year, Esapekka Lappi once again received the confidence of Hyundai who decided to keep it for a second rally in a row. In the tough for his return to the South Korean firm, Ott Tänak will try to restart. Finally, Thierry Neuville will want to extend his good momentum, he who won the Monte-Carlo at the start of the season and who currently leads the championship.

In addition to those ofAdrien fourmaux and Grégoire Munster, there will be a third Ford Puma on the Safari side. Gentleman driver Jourdan Serderidis has decided to make the trip to Kenya for his first Rally1 outing in 2024.

The third meeting of the calendar will offer 355,92 km timed divided into 19 special stages. The sites and names around the village of Naivasha are starting to be well known, the shakedown in Loldia, the superspecial in Nairobi then the already classic Geothermal, Kedong or Sleeping Warrior.
