The shakedown in Finland for Ostberg

The competitors of the eighth round of WRC 2015 began hostilities this morning in Finland with the traditional shakedown. A first opposition which will have been marked by leaving the road de Thierry Neuville driving the Hyundai i20. In terms of time, it’s the Norwegian’s DS3 WRC Mads Ostberg who set the best time in 2’13”3. His compatriot Andreas Mikkelsen is his closest pursuer at the wheel of the first Volkswagen Polo R by four tenths, and precedes the Pole's Ford Fiesta RS Robert Kubica.

Holder of title to his lands, Jari-Matti Latvala ranks fourth at 0″7 just ahead of his double world champion teammate Sébastien Ogier, who almost got surprised in this shakedown as well. Ott Tänak (Ford Fiesta), Kris Meeke (DS3 WRC), Hayden Paddon (Hyundai i20), Elfyn Evans (Ford Fiesta RS) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20) complete the top 10. Also note the release of the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 Craig Breen.

The first ES of rally, a super-special run over 2,27 km will kick off the event at the end of the afternoon.
