The Tour de Corse confirmed in 2019

Despite fears of seeing the French round leave the calendar of WRC in 2019, the organizers of the Tour de Corse confirmed that the FIA World Council had approved the presence of the Rally of the 10 Turns in next year's program.

The 62nd edition will therefore take place from March 28 to 31 and will be the 4th event of the 2019 WRC season. The race will start from Porto-Vecchio and pass through Bastia where the service park will be located. The finish will be set up in Calvi. In total, the crews will compete over 300km timed.

“It is with some pleasure that we welcome this confirmation, comments the president of the FFSA Nicolas Deschaux. The Tour de Corse is part of the heritage of world rallying and constitutes a fantastic showcase for motorsport as a whole. We will do everything we can, over the six months leading up to the event, to offer the same level of quality in terms of organization as in previous years. »

“With a particularly interesting playing field and 75% new special stages, we hope to attract as many competitors as during the last edition, where more than 90 competitors, the highest attendance of the 2018 season, lined up at the start », adds the president of the FFSA.

The 2019 WRC calendar should nevertheless include some changes…
