The last Paris World Motor Sport Council last september had ratified the thirteen tests which would constitute the next calendar of the World Rally Championship, but no date had been officially placed in front of each round.
This has now been done since Tuesday, as confirmed by a press release from the FIA. The season will begin as tradition dictates with the Rally Monte-Carlo (January 22-24), before the Swedish winter classic from February 12 to 14, and the first gravel rally contested in Mexico from March 4 to 6.
The rest closely resembles the calendar seen this season, with Argentina (April 22-24), Portugal (May 20-22), Italy (June 10-12), Poland (July 1-3), Finland (July 29-31) before the first asphalt meeting in Germany after the summer break (August 29-31).
China, absent since 1999 and the victory of Didier Auriol with Toyota, makes his return in the concert of WRC, will take place from September 9 to 11 in the Huairou district, 70 km from Beijing, before the French round (September 30? October 2). Spain follows from October 14 to 16, while Wales Rally GB (October 28-30) will not conclude the season, replaced in this role by Australia (November 18-20). A polar opposite event which will be contested two months later than this season.
The Monte-Carlo and French events remain subject to agreement between the WRC promoter, the FIA and the organizers before November 30, 2015.
