The 2018 WRC liveries

The Birmingham Motor Show (Great Britain) which opened this Thursday January 11 was an opportunity for the four manufacturers involved in WRC, à savoir Citroën, Ford, Hyundai et Toyota, de présenter leurs nouvelles livrées.

Citroën Racing presented a livery identical to that of 2017 for its C3 which will be entrusted full-time to Kris Meeke, while Craig Breen will compete in around ten events, leaving the wheel to Sébastien Loeb over three rounds.

Hyundai Motorsport will keep the same colors seen for several seasons even if slight differences should be noted since red will dress the headlights, the aero appendages of the front spoiler and the doors.

Ford and M-Sport ont dévoilé une livrée similaire à celle de l’an dernier. Les ailettes sont mises en valeur avec une couleur blanche et le sponsor Red Bull remains dominant on the bodywork. The Fiesta R5s of Eric Camilli and Teemu Suninen will have the same decorations on the Rally Monte-Carlo contested from January 25 to 28.

At Toyota, the colors are also identical, apart from the location of a sponsor on the new fins on either side of the grille.

“We saw last year that the Toyota Yaris WRC was able to win (two successes in Sweden and Finland), which was a great achievement for the team, confides Tommi Mäkinen, Team Principal of Toyota Gazoo Racing in the WRC. We have made some improvements to the front of the car to increase its aerodynamics and the cooling system. »
