Motor sports are popular

While bad tongues regularly accuse motor sports of being a sport from another age, a survey carried out by the IPSOS institute for the French Motorcycling Federation (FFM) and the French Motor Sports Federation (FFSA) shows that the French people are mainly in favor of different motorized disciplines.

Thus, among men, 67% declare themselves in favor of motor sports. This rate even rises to 79% among men under 35. Furthermore, 80% of French people consider that motor sports play a driving role in terms of technological innovations, which is also interesting information for manufacturers. The latter regularly claim to use different disciplines (F1, WRC,?) to innovate and develop new products before transferring them to vehicles for the general public.

« It is reassuring to note that the French population retains a strong attachment to motor sports and its values. This should further encourage us to continue the actions already undertaken both in the area of safety and that of reducing noise levels and even the integration of new energies into our disciplines. », declared Nicolas Deschaux, president of the FFSA.
