Loeb: “Don’t give up a single point”

The inaugural round of the 2011 World Rally Championship did not please the Citroën Racing team. Events did not turn out in favor of the tricolors and in particular Sébastien Loeb who, forced to sweep a completely snow-covered track, saw all hope of victory disappear from the first day.

This week, the Alsatian will try to win a fifth consecutive time in Mexico.

“This first rally on earth will really kick off this season, explains the seven-time world champion. The route is very representative of everything that awaits us during the year with the particularity of finding some very fast portions, others more winding. We know that there are many contenders for victory. For our part, it is important not to give up a single point in the title race. »

Failing to have been lucky two weeks ago, the DS3 WRC have proven to be efficient. Last year, with Sébastien Loeb ahead of Petter Solberg and Sébastien Ogier, Citroën had monopolized the podium. The Mexican tracks have often been successful for the French brand, which will be keen to respond immediately to Ford's hat-trick in Sweden.
