M-Sport awaits Sébastien Loeb

Sébastien Loeb won the Monte-Carlo, but since then, the Puma have struggled to exist. While M-Sport was the team that carried out the longest preparation around the new Rally1 hybrid, this did not materialize in the results. The fault lies with crews lacking performance.

M-Sport awaits Sébastien Loeb

Au sein de la structure M-Sport, la moins clinquante du parc d’assistance, personne ne sera d’accord pour dire que le résultat du Monte-Carlo (20-23 janvier) a été à double tranchant. Certes, la victoire de Sébastien Loeb and Isabelle Galmiche did a lot of good to a group which had not tasted this joy since the Rally of Great Britain 2018. This rewarded the sacrifices made in 2020 and 2021 to prepare for the arrival of new technology. M-Sport suddenly found the light again, but at the same time the comparison between Craig Breen and Sébastien Loeb wasn't it devastating? How can Craig, known to be fragile, manage to build his confidence while being outstripped by a “tourist” from WRC ? If Seb' demonstrated the qualities of the American during this first race of the hybrid era, the rest was much duller.
