Without Loeb, the team appeared in full sun. With a finally credible Craig Breen and a solid and fast Pierre-Louis Loubet, the Puma shone in Sardinia. Disappointment on the other hand for Adrien Fourmaux, again at fault.

Even its most fervent defenders, at home and abroad M-Sport, ended up having doubts. If Pierre-Louis Loubet had achieved very good things in the lower categories, notably the WRC2 title in 2019, his races at the wheel of a WRC had been complicated. In 2020, indulgence prevailed after only three participations. Last year, the season was very difficult to live through. Despite some interesting times, his performances had too often ended in problems or mistakes, to the point that the Corsican's credibility had taken a hit. Even if he continued to affirm that he felt capable of performing well with this type of vehicle, his case was already settled for many observers. Having retained the trust of his main partner, Pierre-Louis was able, upon his return to Croatia, to demonstrate that he knew how to operate a Rally1 and that he was not as bad as some proclaimed.
