Meeke leads in Argentina ahead of Neuville

Kris Meeke (Toyota) a été le plus efficace sur les parcours boueux du premier passage de la première étape du Rally from Argentina where conditions were sufficiently muddy to force the organizers to cancel SS3 Amboy – Yacanto. All crews WRC left with 5 medium tires.

By setting the scratch on the first time trial of the day, the Northern Irishman took the lead. He returns to service with a little more than 5 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) qui a profité de sa position d’ouvreur dans ces conditions.

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) was also on pace as the reigning champion completed the top three, one second behind the Belgian, being tied with Ott Tänak (Toyota) which lost ground on the last two courses contested.

Mads Ostberg (Citroën) occupies the lead in WRC 2 Pro, playing on the outskirts of the Top 10 in the general classification with a lead of 20 seconds over Gus Greensmith (Ford).

The second pass of the first stage of the Rally Argentina is scheduled from 19:51 p.m. and will be followed live with our live text. The organizers confirmed that the second passage from Amboy – Yacanto could be contested.
