Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a été le plus efficace au shakedown du Rally du Portugal en bouclant les 4,6km en 3’02’’1 lors de son 3e et dernier passage. Kris Meeke (Toyota) a suivi à un dixième avec un passage de plus en précédant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Ott Tänak (Toyota).
Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) finished the test session in 5th place ahead of his teammate Dani Sordo. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed in 7th position ahead of his compatriot Esapekka Lappi (Citroën). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) remained behind by setting the 11th fastest time behind M-Sport drivers Elfyn Evans and Gus Greensmith.
Elfyn Evans, however, was only able to complete one pass after encountering mechanical problems forcing her to return to service.
Among WRC 2, it was Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) who was the fastest ahead of Jan Kopecky (Skoda) and Pierre-Louis Loubet (Skoda).
