Neuville new leader in Corsica, Ogier rises

Despite mechanical problems at the end of the stage, Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) was able to catch up with Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and climb onto the provisional podium with a little more than 4 seconds ahead of the Spaniard.

Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) is in 5th place with a lead of 22 seconds over Ott Tänak (Toyota) who was able to catch up with Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) after his disappointment.

Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) remains isolated in 9th place ahead of the Toyotas of Kris Meeke and Jari-Matti Latvala. The Finn suffered a new puncture which had no impact on his ranking.

After losing his head WRC 2, Éric Camilli (Volkswagen) was about to catch up with new category leader Fabio Andolfi (Skoda) before retiring in SS12 after seeing his Polo GTI R5 go up in smoke. The crew was unhurt, but the stage had to be stopped. Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) and Lukasz Pieniazek (Ford), the two WRC 2 Pro competitors, retired due to an accident.

The last stage of the Tour de Corse will begin this Sunday from 9:45 a.m. with two special stages on the program. The event can be followed live with our live text. Watch out for summer time!
