Oreca unveils FIA R4 test drivers

Three drivers were chosen for the development of the kit FIA R4 supplied by Oreca. The first of its pilots is Stéphane Sarrazin in his capacity as French Rally Champion in 2004 and having participated in several rounds of the world championship.

« I can't wait to start the tests, enthuses the pilot WEC et FE. It's always interesting to be part of a development phase, not only with asphalt and dirt, but also at the wheel of a car that will race all over the world.."

At his side, the French pilot will find his compatriot Raphaël Astier, winner of the French Rally Cup and long-time Oreca Store ambassador.

« I am very happy to participate in this program as a test driver for the development of the R4, adds the native of Montélimar. I can't wait to discover this new car and share my feelings with the ORECA technicians. The R4 is a very good idea and I am convinced that it will be a great success with practitioners of the rally»

The third driver chosen for these tests is the Finn Teemu suninen. Engaged in WRC2, he impressed during his two stints in WRC by treating yourself to a 6e and a 4e up with M-Sport.

« It’s very exciting to be able to take part in the development of a new category in rallying, comments the Finn. I think the R4 is a great idea to connect an R3 and an R5, it will make the transition between the two classes easier.."

The first scheduled test sessions for the kit will take place from this summer for development work on dirt and asphalt.
