La nouvelle Hyundai i20 N Rally1 fut la dernière voiture des trois constructeurs engagés (avec Ford et Toyota) dans le Championnat du Monde des Rallyes dévoilée. L’équipe basée à Alzenau a eu l’occasion d’effectuer des essais pendant ce mois de décembre, avec notamment Ott Tänak behind the wheel. “The guys did a really good job on this car, said the titled driver in 2019. We have a strong new chassis and we have definitely made big steps forward. I would of course like to do as many miles as possible before the season starts, but from what I can see behind the wheel, the designers and engineers have done an excellent job in a short time. We know there is still work to be done, but it is promising. » Accidented during the round in Spain and absent for the last one in Monza, the Estonian ended the 2021 financial year won by Sébastien Ogier in fifth place. His teammates Thierry Neuville and Oliver Solberg will ride this week in preparation for the season opener at Rally of Monte Carlo (January 20-30).
