Ott Tänak moves closer to victory in Finland

We have to go back to 2014 and 2015 to see two consecutive successes in Finland (Jari-Matti Latvala with Volkswagen). A performance that is very close to achieving Ott Tänak at the end of the 22nd special of the 1000 Lakes event.

The Norwegian increased his lead to 2″2 over the Frenchman before the last SS.

The hierarchy has evolved for sixth place since Craig Breen was 2′ late before SS22 and received a 20″ penalty. Enough to “give” 6th place to his teammate at Hyundai Thierry Neuville. Breen reste 7e devant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport Ford).

The day ended, however, for Kris Meeke (Toyota), who started again in Rally2 this morning, but made a mistake in SS22, with a left front wheel damaged in a rope. Gus Greensmith (M-Sport Ford) retired after a crash in SS21. Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) remains a solid leader in WRC2 Pro.

The Power Stage will be followed live with our live-text from 12:18 p.m.
