No diving in the port in Sardinia?

Over time, it has become one of the trademarks of the Italian sleeve. Every year, at the end of three days of battle in the hills on brittle and dusty roads, the winners throw themselves into the water of the port of the city where the event is located. Last year it was in Alghero on the west coast, this year in Olbia in the east. Season after season, this celebration has been perfected and some teams have even brought mattresses or inflatable buoys to make it even more cheerful. This moment of communion and liberation should this time not take place at the terms of the race. When the ban was announced, no official reason was given, with the press release simply stating " to safety concerns "," For safety reasons ". The explanation, which is not very positive for the image and reputation of the site, would come from the work being carried out in the port of the Italian city. These have caused water pollution in which it is preferable not to swim. Before rally, Dani Sordo had been warned that this ban was looming. He had proudly announced that he would still jump if he managed to win.
