Petter Solberg: “The big attack”

Thanks to a second consecutive podium, Petter Solberg occupies fourth place in the championship. The Norwegian will approach the Turkish round this weekend with high morale.

Second in Mexico, Petter Solberg was once again the author of a choice performance during the rally from Jordan, finishing third at the wheel of a Citroën which he is beginning to tame. The favorites for the title are Sébastien Loeb and Mikko Hirvonen should be wary, the more confident the 2003 world champion is, the more dangerous he is.

In order to arrive ready in Turkey this weekend, Petter Solberg went there last week to carry out tests at the wheel of his C4 WRC. Tests which proved very conclusive for the former member of the Subaru team.

?In Jordan, I was only 97% satisfied with my car because I had problems with understeer in both passages in Jordan River, declares the 35-year-old pilot. I didn't have enough grip at the rear. With a car as high-performance as the Citroën, every detail makes the difference. We made progress during testing and I am 100% satisfied, more so than before Rally Mexico, where we took second place. I feel very good after these tests. I'm ready to release the big attack from the start. »

97% satisfied with his mount, “Hollywood Solberg” is capable of excellent performances. So what will happen when his car suits him 100%? The victory that the Norwegian has been chasing since the 2005 Rally of Great Britain is perhaps not very far away.
