“The 2021 season was very good for me,” he explained. At the beginning, I progressed little by little and the results got better and better. Finally, we finished on the podium in Kenya (June 24-27, 2021. Editor's note), which was a very special feeling. After that, things were a little more difficult, but I learned a lot from these moments. I hope this will be a useful experience for the future. I am looking forward to next year and the new generation of cars, which will be very interesting and challenging. »

Having experienced co-driver issues this year with Daniel Barritt's injury in Estonia and Keaton's family troubles Williams, the Japanese decided to continue working with Aaron Johnston who moved to the right seat from Finland (October 1-October 3, 2021). The continuation of this program is excellent news for the WRC which will host a minimum of four Toyotas across all rounds.
