Quesnel: “Unforgivable error”

If Dani Sordo (Citroën C4) seemed well on his way to finishing the Rally of Sweden on the third step of the podium, the Spaniard lost a lot of time on Saturday, having to stop in SS15 to remove a radiator screen which was causing his engine to overheat.

Having lost a minute during this stop, Dani Sordo and Marc Marti lost their third place on the podium, overtaken by Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila. As the competitor that he is, Olivier Quesnel was annoyed by this incident, since the radiator screen should have been removed before the departure of Dani Sordo in SS15.

« They forgot to remove this screen and the co-pilot forgot it, confirms the boss of Citroën Racing. Honestly, it annoys me a lot, it still annoys me today. Nobody is perfect. Marc Marti has been rallying for I don't know how many years. But we are in the world championship, within Citroën Racing, for me it is an unforgivable error. Is this something that will never happen again? Something is going to happen. »
