Rallye Monte-Carlo – Shakedown: Ott Tänak starts the week well

@DDPI.

And two! For the second consecutive year, Ott Tänak (Hyundai) set the best time in the Shakedown of Rally Monte Carlo. The Estonian clocked 2:09.8, 0.8s better than Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota), second and Sébastien Ogier (Toyota), third. The Finn, like Ott Tänak, achieved his reference time on his first run, while the eight-time world champion had to wait for his second attempt.

Elfyn Evans (Toyota) is hot on his teammates' heels (+1.1) and ahead of the defending champion Thierry NeuvilleThe Belgian only did two tests, like Tänak, while the Toyota drivers all did three. Adrien fourmaux (Hyundai) quickly got into the rhythm with his new team (6th, one second behind Neuville), like Josh McErlean at M-Sport.

The Irishman was one of the only Rally1 drivers to make four attempts, but his strategy paid off: improving each time, he finished ahead of his teammate Grégoire Munster by 1.2s, who also made four attempts.

As a reminder, these times do not count towards the general classification. The first special will take place on Thursday at 18 p.m. from Digne-les-Bains.

"Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai) quickly got into the rhythm" Really? -1.3 from Neuville and -2.4 from Tänak over 3.28 km.
