Night stages return to Wales Rally GB

Wales Rally GB will once again offer stages contested at night in 2017. The second stage contested on Saturday promises to test the endurance of the crews, particularly with the Dyfnant and Aberhirnant courses run in the evening. The last stage will begin the next day at 7:36 a.m.

“We listened to rider feedback last year and the message was clear. They did not want to return to the service park so soon after finishing their last special in the forest, comments  Ben Taylor, Director of Wales Rally GB. From now on, the cars which return to the service park on Saturday afternoon will leave for a second pass through Dyfnant and a pass through Aberhinant. We are replicating what was done a few years ago with night specials. »

The Wales Rally GB route will include 20 special stages offering just over 300km of time and will be contested from October 27 to 29.
