Away from the circuits since his accident in rally in February 2011, Robert Kubica relaunched his motorsport career by entering rallying, becoming champion WRC-2 in 2013. The Pole, former resident of Renault and the BMW Sauber F1 Team, will be entered in the second round of the 24H Series championship, organized by Creventic, at the 12 Hours of Mugello in Italy (March 18-19).
Winner of the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix, Kubica will compete in the seat of the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 entered by the MP-Sports team. The Czech Martin Prokop, who will also support the Pole at the wheel, confirmed the information on Facebook page.
After taking part in the Monte-Carlo Rally, Robert Kubica indicated that the rest of his season could involve circuit events.
