Sébastien Loeb fears having to sweep

Compared to the last edition of Rally of Portugal in the World Rally Championship organized in 2007, the course is wider and faster this season.

“The roads are in very good condition,” confides Sébastien Loeb. “They are wider but also more complicated with a lot of “skys”. I hope I don't waste too much time sweeping the road on the first day. »

A position shared by his teammate Dani Sordo: “There is a layer of loose earth which could cause us to lose time in the first loop. »

Henning Solberg, who is aiming for a good result on the roads of the Algarve, is won over even if he expects tricky second passages: “The special stages are very technical. The driver will be able to make the difference. The second runs risk being much more brittle. You will therefore have to be careful, especially in the new special stages. »
