Sébastien Ogier official VW driver in WRC

A week after Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrasssia have been released by Citroën, VW Motorsport formalizes the recruitment of the young French duo. The Gapençais is the first recruit made official by the German brand, and will be in charge of the development of the Polo R WRC which will be entered in the World Rally Championship from 2013.

“Volkswagen is number one in Europe and will soon become number one worldwide, underlines Ogier. It is certain that they will ride with the objective of becoming world champions, and I am delighted to be part of this project from its beginning. »

If nothing is indicated in the press release, Sébastien Ogier should certainly participate in various rounds of the world championship next year at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia S2000 entered directly by VW Motorsport.
