Sébastien Ogier, a veteran who is a size 9

Disappointed with last year's outcome, Sébastien Ogier left it to no one to dominate this 91st edition of Monte-Carlo. Superbly assisted by Vincent Landais who won his first WRC success, the eight-time world champion was never worried. At the wheel of an impressive Yaris, nothing could prevent him from winning for the 9th time.

The appointment was made twelve months ago by Sébastien Ogier after a bitter Monte-Carlo finished in 2nd position behind Sébastien Loeb following a late puncture. Although not wishing to discuss the rest of his 2022 program, Sébastien Ogier still confirmed that he would most likely start in January 2023. And he was faithful to his reputation. In the Frenchman's career, Monte' has always held a special place. Passing through the Hautes-Alpes, the ordeal contributed to the passion of the man who was born in Gap, the capital of the department. If this made him want to one day be part of this environment, he would never have imagined being able to fight for his 9th success in the Principality. Yet there was never any doubt.
