Solberg ambassador of Sardinia

After rally from Argentina, Petter Solberg had considered not coming to Sardinia. But the desire suddenly returned when he knew that he would have the latest version of the Citroën Xsara (2006 model) which he discovered on Monday on the Sardinian special stages:

“It was just a get-to-know-you to start working on the settings. We will still have to continue Thursday morning during the shake down. I can't attack too much either because I only have one car and the slightest trip off the road would be catastrophic. »

Featuring better cooling, the 2006 Xsara is equipped with mechanical differentials front and rear:

“With this Xsara, I think I can aim for third place on the podium. I will be sure of the potential of this new car after the first stages. I hope I can keep up with the best. In Portugal and Argentina, this was not always the case when it was hot. “

Extremely popular on the island, the Norwegian was named ambassador of the Sardinia rally for his human and sporting qualities:

“The landscapes are magnificent and I really appreciate the atmosphere at the rally. The weather is nice and the people are friendly. And there are great dirt roads! »
