Solberg uncertain for 2011

The Norwegian has been impressive this season. Often complaining of having a car inferior to those of the official teams, the 2003 World Champion put in solid performances, even if he did not manage to achieve a victory (his last one dates back to Wales Rally GB in 2005) . He is now thinking about the rest of his career.

« Honestly, I don't have the slightest idea what I'm going to do », assured the Citroën private driver. “ I only have one sponsor and I don't know what to do. You can chat with as many people as you want, but you can't do anything until things are 100% certain. I'm very motivated, I want to ride and keep fighting but we have to see what happens »

Petter Solberg also seems exhausted by the energy spent managing his own team. “ Personally, I haven't seen my wife and son much in the last two years because I always take the plane for meetings with my sponsors or for tests, and this every time. rally. So I?m lucky to still be married! Fortunately we have the same passion. »

After testing the Oreca Le Mans Last year, the Norwegian even considered possibly spending a season on the circuits. “ I might do other things next year. “, he admitted. “ I'm interested in Le Mans, or the opportunities to race in America. It would be something new. But come back WRC after a year of absence would then be difficult. I have to think about it. »

Petter Solberg could nevertheless find himself with one of the two manufacturers who animated the 2010 season. Olivier Quesnel has already made it known that he is interested in the Norwegian's talents.
