Solberg: New podium in Greece?

Petter Solberg aims for another podium at the Acropolis Rally. The Citroën driver is off to a good start as he set the second fastest time in the shakedown this morning behind Sébastien Loeb.

After his podium at Rally of Sardinia and his fourth place at the Rally Argentina, Petter Solberg is aiming for a new podium at the Acropolis Rally. The Norwegian, who proved his ambitions by setting the second fastest time in the shakedown, is expecting a difficult rally where mistakes will be harshly punished.

“Greece will be another difficult test, but I trust the car and the driver! », jokes the private pilot of the DS3 WRC. “The Greek stages are very tough on the cars, and with only service planned for Friday, we will have to stay out of trouble. Tire degradation will also be a big concern during the weekend. »

Nevertheless, the 2003 World Champion intends to shine in this dirt event while aiming for a new podium after the one won in Sardinia. ?I have so many good memories of previous editions in Greece, I can only be happy to come back here this year. Of course, I will fight for another podium. »
