POLL – Should Sébastien Ogier seek a 9th title and finish the 2024 season?

Was it Sébastien Ogier was finally in the running for a ninth World Rally Championship title? After his victory at Rally of Finland, the third in six participations in 2024, the Gapençais is now in second place in the championship with 27 points behind Thierry Neuville.
Following his victory, the Frenchman – who has been on a partial schedule since his last title in 2021 – said he could be forced to finish the season with Toyota to help the Japanese manufacturer in the championship. Which would also involve playing the Drivers’ title against the Belgian. “I have to see if we finish the season, but it seems I have no other option. It's no longer my priority (the title) but we will see. » Its participation in the Acropolis Rally (Greece) has already been confirmed.
With four events remaining in the season (Greece, Chile, Central Europe and Japan), the question is on everyone's lips in WRC : Should Sébastien Ogier seek a 9th title and finish the 2024 season, despite his reluctance? With his position in the championship and his experience, facing a more irregular Elfyn Evans, the Frenchman is best equipped to help Toyota in the quest for world titles. Ogier is not hot and that is perfectly understandable. 1) with the new points allocation system, it is no longer possible to make the difference by winning a rally since points are awarded for Sunday, for the superspecial... it no longer has any meaning . 2) In these conditions, Ogier certainly does not want to serve as a foil to Neuville; remember that Neuville always finished behind him in the world championship when the program was complete for both drivers...
