Suarez wants to make it happen in Sardinia

José Antonio Suarez will return to Rally of Sardinia disputed this week with its Peugeot 208 T16 “Evo”. The Spaniard achieved promising times in Portugal last May but was only able to take 12th place in WRC 2 after making mistakes several times.

The Spaniard representing the Peugeot Rally Academy will have to face 16 competitors in one of the most demanding events of the season. The Hispanic driver will notably face Hubert Ptaszek and Suentin Giordano who are also entered in Sochaux cars.

“This will only be my second participation in the Sardinia Rally, after 2011”, comments “Cohete”. “The stages will once again be completely new to me, as was already the case in Portugal. I am particularly satisfied with the developments made to the Peugeot 208 T16. »

“In Italy the stages are rougher and narrower than in Portugal, but it should be fine. Above all, I want to continue my learning of the 208 T16 “Evo” on gravel because this will be my second race on this type of surface with this car. It will also be necessary to confirm the good times achieved in Portugal”, adds José Antonio Suarez.
