Here is the first new one rally of the 2025 season in WRC. The Rally of the Canary Islands, one of the classic events of theERC, will be added to the World Rally Championship calendar for the first time in 2025. The Spanish event will consist of 18 special stages, spread over three days of competition, for a total of 301,30 timed kilometers.

15h14 – 🔢 In the championship, Elfyn Evans widens the gap at the top with 109 points ahead of Kalle Rovanperä (66 points) and Thierry Neuville (59 points). Toyota regains the lead among the Constructors with 208 points, against 157 points for Hyundai.

15:12 p.m. – SS18 : 🔎 Here are the Super Sunday standings with five points for Kalle Rovanperä ahead of Sébastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans.

15:10 p.m. – SS18 : 🏁🏆 Kalle Rovanperä wins the Canary Islands Rally with the bonus of setting the fastest time in the Power Stage in 6:39! An exceptional weekend for the Finn, who claimed his first victory of the season and truly launched his championship! In total, the two-time world champion won 15 of the rally's 18 special stages, securing a clean sweep with 35 points!

15:09 – SS18: 💬 Sébastien Ogier: "I think the only driver who was impressive this weekend was Kalle, along with Jonne of course. I had a lot of fun, the car was superb to drive. Well done to Kalle, we have a great result to celebrate for the team."

15:06 p.m. – SS18 : ⏱️🇫🇷 Sébastien Ogier takes the best time of the Power Stage in 6:43, with a 1-second lead over Elfyn Evans! Powerless against Kalle Rovanperä, the eight-time world champion still achieved a fine 2nd place.

15:02 p.m. – SS18 : ⏱️ Elfyn Evans beat Adrien Fourmaux with a time of 6'43"7. With this 3rd place in the Canaries, the Welshman will secure a new podium, his fourth consecutive this season, and will increase his lead at the top of the championship.

14:58 p.m. – SS18 : Takamoto Katsuta set the provisional 3rd fastest time in this Power Stage, 0 seconds behind Adrien Fourmaux. The Japanese driver finished just off the podium in 7th place, completing a possible quadruple for Toyota.

14:57 – SS18: 💬 Adrien Fourmaux: "There are some positive things from this weekend. We are the winners of the Hyundai Cup! We have to move forward. We still took a few points, even if we would have preferred to take more."

14:54 p.m. – SS18 : ⏱️🇫🇷 Adrien Fourmaux beat his two teammates and took the best time of the Power Stage in 6:44. The Frenchman, who has consistently been Hyundai's best driver this weekend, has secured a top-five finish despite the South Korean team's struggles. He will score at least one point in the Power Stage, as only four drivers remain behind him.

14:50 p.m. – SS18 : It is not beaten by Ott Tänak who finished 1″1 behind his teammate. The Estonian, invisible this weekend like his team, will finish 6th overall.

14:46 p.m. – SS18 : ⏱️ Thierry Neuville clocked a time of 6'45″2. After his puncture on SS17, the Belgian was on the attack to try to save the day and score some points in the Power Stage. He is expected to finish in 7th place in this Canary Islands Rally. "I don't know what to say. It definitely wasn't a good weekend. We struggled a lot, we have to work harder."

14:42 p.m. – SS18 : ⏱️ Now it's time for Rally1 with the arrival of Grégoire Munster, who sets a reference time of 6'56″4. The Belgian-Luxembourger finished outside the Top 10 due to his exit from the track yesterday afternoon.

14:38 p.m. – SS18 : 🏆🇫🇷 Victory for Yohan Rossel in WRC2! The Frenchman led the Canary Islands Rally from start to finish, securing his second victory of the season after Monte Carlo! The Citroën – PH Sport driver moved into the lead of the WRC2 championship with 50 points. The Nîmes driver even set the fastest time of this Power Stage, clocking 7:02.

14:34 p.m. – SS18 : 🥈 Alejandro Cachon gave his all on his home rally to chase victory, but the Spaniard will have to settle for second place. He finished this final stage 2 seconds behind Nikolay Gryazin.

14:30 p.m. – SS18 : Efren Llarena crossed the line 7 seconds behind Nikolay Gryazin. The Spaniard finished 3th on the island of Gran Canaria.

14:26 p.m. – SS18 : 🥉 Nikolay Gryazin was faster in his Skoda, with a time of 7:05. The Russian, who races under a Bulgarian license, finished 3rd in this Rally of the Canary Islands, a slight disappointment for the man who was aiming for victory in the Spanish archipelago.

14:22 p.m. – SS18 : Diego Ruiloba sets the first benchmark time in the WRC2 category in 7:06. The Spaniard is expected to finish 4th in the Rally5 category.

14:18 p.m. – SS18 : 🔎 This morning, Kalle Rovanperä set the fastest time of 6:42 on the first run of this special.

14:15 p.m. – SS18: 🟢 It's off to Diego Ruiloba, the first driver to take to the Power Stage!

13:02 p.m. – SS17 : 🇫🇷 Yohan Rossel sets the fastest time in WRC2 and flies to victory in the Canary Islands! The Nîmes driver has gained another 3 seconds from Alejandro Cachon and extended his lead to 8 seconds ahead of the Spaniard!

12:51 p.m. – SS17 : 🏁 And for the first time in the rally – outside of the Super Special – Kalle Rovanperä was beaten on a special stage of the Canary Islands Rally! The Finn finished with a slight delay of 1″0 on Sébastien Ogier! But no matter: the double world champion is now just one special stage away from victory in Gran Canaria.

12:48 p.m. – SS17 : ⏱️🇫🇷 Sébastien Ogier also took the best time on SS17 in 8'50"6. He is ahead of Kalle Rovanperä in the first intermediates.

12:46 p.m. – SS17 : ⏱️ Elfyn Evans did better than Takamoto Katsuta and recorded a time of 8'51″2, 2″6 better than the Japanese. "It was better in several places. Sunday's points are still very important, but also for the manufacturers' points."

12:43 p.m. – SS17 : ⏱️ Beaten by the Hyundai this morning, Takamoto Katsuta sets the record straight and sets the provisional best time in 8'53"8.

12:40 p.m. – SS17 : 🇫🇷 As a result, Adrien Fourmaux is no longer threatened by Thierry Neuville in the overall standings and should finish 5th. He finished this 17th special stage 0 seconds behind Ott Tänak.

12:04 – SS16: Alejandro Cachon conceded 1 seconds to Yohan Rossel on this special stage and finds himself 2 seconds behind the Frenchman in the general WRC20 classification.

12:01 a.m. – SS16: ⏱️🇫🇷 Yohan Rossel equals the time of Sébastien Ogier and Adrien Fourmaux! So we have a Rally2 at the top of the special classification!

11:58 a.m. – SS16: 🏁 Kalle Rovanperä completes his lap and crosses the finish line… 0 seconds behind the Ogier – Fourmaux duo! The Finn has only been defeated on the two Super Specials of the weekend so far.

11:55 a.m. – SS16: ⏱️🇫🇷 Sébastien Ogier equals Adrien Fourmaux's time in 1'18″4. In this Super Special, will the Frenchman finally beat Kalle Rovanperä?

11:52 – SS16: Elfyn Evans is 0 seconds behind Adrien Fourmaux's time.

11:49 – SS16: Slight delay for Takamoto Katsuta, who finished 0 seconds behind the Frenchman on this Super Special.

11:46 a.m. – SS16: ⏱️🇫🇷 Adrien Fourmaux sets the fastest time of 1'18"4 on the Maspalomas karting track. He increases his lead to 2 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville in the general classification. "I have to optimize everything I can. I'm having more trouble on the long stages today. Plus, I lost time when I stalled yesterday [on the Super Special]. I hope the fans enjoyed it; it's nice to have something different."

11:44 p.m. – SS16 : 📸 While we wait for Adrien Fourmaux to leave, here are some images from this magnificent Canary Islands Rally. Not the most spectacular from a sporting perspective, but certainly one of the most photogenic.

11:43 – SS16: Thierry Neuville crossed the line 0 seconds behind Ott Tänak.

11:40 a.m. – SS16: ⏱️ It was 2″0 faster for Ott Tänak who set the best time in 1'18″9.

11:37 a.m. – SS16: ⏱️ The Belgian-Luxembourger set a first time of 1'20″9.

11:35 – SS16: 🢢 The start of SS16 of this Canary Islands Rally is underway with the departure of Grégoire Munster! A new Super Special, this time taking place on... a karting track.

10h45 – 👋 Meet at 11:35 a.m. for the start of SS16 (Maspalomas – Costa Canaria – 1,50 km).

10:43 – SS15: In WRC2, Alejandro Cachon gained 0 seconds on Yohan Rossel on this 8th special stage. The Frenchman remains in the lead of the Canary Islands Rally and maintains an 15 second lead over the Spaniard in the general classification.

10:38 p.m. – SS15 : 🔎 Here are the current Super Sunday standings after the second special of the day (out of the five planned for this Sunday).

10:33 a.m. – SS15: 🏁 Huge surprise! Kalle Rovanperä sets the fastest time on SS15 in 6:42! We're trying to push ourselves as hard as we can, but the Finn has yet another special stage victory in this Rally of the Canary Islands. He now has a 51-second lead over Sébastien Ogier in the overall standings.

10:30 – ES15: 🇫🇷 This was confirmed at the end of SS15: Sébastien Ogier only achieved the provisional 3rd time, 2 seconds behind Elfyn Evans.

10:27 a.m. – SS15: ⏱️ Elfyn Evans sets the provisional best time in 6'45″3. He is faster than Sébastien Ogier in the intermediates. "It's one of the special stages where we had a lot of difficulty in reconnaissance because of the traffic."

10:24 – SS15: As in SS14, Takamoto Katsuta failed behind Thierry Neuville's Hyundai: the Japanese finished 1 seconds behind.

10:22 – ES15: 🇫🇷 Adrien Fourmaux is still losing time to Thierry Neuville: with a 1 second deficit at the end of SS9, the Frenchman now has only a 15 second lead over the Belgian overall. "The goal is to stay fifth, but we made a big mistake with the setup. It's a disaster. I've lost confidence and I'm lacking speed."

10:19 a.m. – SS15: ⏱️ 6'46″8 for Thierry Neuville, who beats Ott Tänak by 2″8 and takes the best time. "The goal is to beat Adrien. My pace was too slow in several places because of the traffic during reconnaissance. We'll keep attacking."

10:16 a.m. – SS15: ⏱️ Ott Tänak takes the provisional best time in 6'49″6. Grégoire Munster loses almost a second per kilometer compared to the Estonian, that's a lot...

10:15 – SS15: As a reminder, this Maspalomas special will host the Power Stage this afternoon.

10:13 a.m. – SS15: ⏱️ Grégoire Munster sets the first reference time in 7'02″8. Should be easily beaten by Ott Tänak.

10:08 – SS15: ⏪ Relive Josh McErlean's crash on SS14 in replay.

10:05 p.m. – SS15: 🟢 SS15 is underway with the departure of Grégoire Munster, the only M-Sport driver still in the running after Josh McErlean's retirement.

9h55 - ???? Meet at 10:05 for the start of ES15 (Maspalomas 1 – 13,47 km).

9:53 a.m. – SS14: 🇫🇷 Yohan Rossel sets the fastest time on SS14 in the WRC2 category! The Frenchman takes 0 seconds off Alejandro Cachon and increases his lead to 9 seconds ahead of the Spaniard overall.

9:43 – SS14: 🏁 Beaten in the Super Special yesterday, Kalle Rovanperä resumes his march forward and wins in SS14 with a time of 8'50"1! The Finn now has a 46" lead over Sébastien Ogier in the general classification.

ES14 – Rankings


9:40 a.m. – SS14: ⏱️🇫🇷 Sébastien Ogier took the fastest time in 8:51, 3 seconds better than Elfyn Evans. But behind, as usual, Kalle Rovanperä is ahead... "Very nice roads, quite winding towards the end. So far, so good. I'm the fastest so far, but we know who's coming up behind!"

9:37 a.m. – SS14: ⏱️ Finally, Elfyn Evans managed to beat Thierry Neuville's time by 1 seconds with a time of 0:8 seconds. "It wasn't brilliant. I wasn't quick enough when I should have been. That's how it is."

9:34 – SS14: Takamoto Katsuta finished behind Thierry Neuville on this 14th special, with a deficit of 1 seconds on the Hyundai driver at the finish.

9:33 – SS14: Little surprise for the moment: neither Katsuta nor Evans is faster than Neuville in the first intermediates... Has Hyundai finally found the solution?

9:31 – ES14: 🇫🇷 Adrien Fourmaux conceded 2 seconds to Thierry Neuville on this SS5 and saw his lead reduced to just 14 seconds ahead of the Belgian for 3th place. "I wanted to do it like in NASCAR where they can lean on the wall to overtake other cars, but that doesn't work in rallying!"

9:28 a.m. – SS14: ⏱️ Thierry Neuville did better and clocked 8'53″4. The Belgian can still catch Adrien Fourmaux for 5th place overall, the gap between the two teammates was 5″ at the start of the special. "I like this stage, I like its characteristics. It started well at the beginning, but the car was a little nervous at the rear. At the end, I felt like the differential didn't allow me to put more angle in the middle of the corner, and I ended up understeering."

9:25 a.m. – SS14: ⏱️ Ott Tänak takes the provisional best time in 8'56″5, 10″1 better than Grégoire Munster.

9:21 p.m. – ES14: ❌ Josh McErlean's Ford Puma is parked on the side of the road, so it shouldn't disrupt the rest of the stage. It's over for the Irishman on this Canary Islands Rally.

9:20 – SS14: ️ Grégoire Munster sets a first reference time of 9'06″6.

9:18 p.m. – SS14 : 💥 Josh McErlean is arrested! He crashed into a guardrail! The crew is OK but the Puma might not leave...

9:17 – SS14: The two M-Sports lead the way this morning. Josh McErlean (10th) and Grégoire Munster (13th) could fail to score a point this Sunday, which would be a first for the British team since... 2002!

9:15 p.m. – SS14 : ☀️ Great sunshine this Sunday morning to conclude this magnificent Rally of the Canary Islands.

9:12 a.m. – SS14: 🔎 Like yesterday, there were no surprises regarding the choice of tires: everyone chose to take five hard tires for this first run.

9:10 p.m. – SS14: 🟢 Grégoire Munster is the first to set off this Sunday; it's off to SS14! 

9h06 – 🔎 Here is the starting order for this last day in Gran Canaria.

9h01 – 🇫🇷 A quick update on the ranking of our French competitors in this Canary Islands Rally before the start of this final stage. With Léo Rossel's retirement yesterday in SS12, there are only six left.
