Tänak manages in Sweden, Lappi ahead of the Hyundais

Ott Tänak (Toyota) gère son avance au Rally from Sweden. At the end of the two passages of the 21,19km Likenäs, the Estonian still has nearly 49 seconds ahead of his closest pursuer.

The fight is therefore concentrated on the last places on the podium where the gaps are much closer. Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) took the advantage over Andreas Mikkelsen who slipped to 4th position more than 4 seconds behind his teammate Thierry Neuville. The Belgian is similarly behind the Finn before the Power Stage.

Kris Meeke (Toyota) seems to have done the hardest part by pushing Sébastien away Loeb (Hyundai) more than 9 seconds behind. Pontus Tidemand (M-Sport) remains isolated in 8th place.

Ole Christian Veiby (Volkswagen) still occupies 9th place, well ahead of the WRC 2, his closest pursuer Jari Huttunen (Skoda) having encountered a problem on the last course contested while he was 16 seconds behind the Norwegian. Mads Ostberg (Citroën) remains in the lead of WRC 2 Pro, 8 seconds behind the Top 10 in the general classification completed by the Ford WRC of Janne Tuohino (M-Sport).

The 8,93km Torsby Power Stage will be contested from 12:18 p.m. The Swedish Rally can be followed live with our live text.
