When he went to sign his contract at the beginning of December 2022 in one of the plush lounges of Dovenby Hall (UK) with Malcolm Wilson (director of M-Sport) and Richard Millener (his deputy), Ott Tänak took the opportunity to complete a few kilometers with the Puma Rally1. Whether on the circuit next to the facilities or in the nearby Greystoke Forest where M-Sport's permanent base is located, he could have been running for a week. Rather than discover this new mount and start working for 2023, the Estonian preferred to go to the island of Saaremaa, 200 km southeast of the capital Tallinn (Estonia) where his family is located.
