Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) barely concluded the 2022 World Rally Championship season (WRC) by a victory in Rally from Japan that the Belgian is already focusing his attention on 2023. The driver with 17 World Cup successes has been confirmed in his starting place within Hyundai Motorsport for next season, and is delighted to welcome two new drivers: Esapekka Lappi in holder and Craig Breen alternating with veteran Dani Sordo.

“We can look forward to the 2023 season in a positive spirit and with increased motivation, knowing that we have a strong and experienced line-up, declared the 34-year-old Francophone. Esapekka (Lappi) will be a great asset to our team, and I am sure he will bring an important perspective to the way we work. It's also nice to have Craig back (Breen), who shares a third car with Dani.

It's a good combination of familiar faces and new blood which I'm sure will give us fresh momentum as we begin a new campaign. Work ethic is a very important value at Hyundai Motorsport, everyone in the company contributes to our goals; with our confirmed team, we are now in a good position to approach a new year of championship. »

Third in the 2022 season behind his ex-teammate Ott Tänak, Thierry Neuville finished the year with a bang, signing two successes, a second and a fourth place in the last four WRC meetings. Enough to forecast a year 2023 in an optimistic manner, within a structure that he has never left since 2014.
