Thierry Neuville fastest in Rally Sweden shakedown

That's it, the Rally Sweden 2025 has begun. This Thursday morning, the traditional Shakedown took place, officially opening the ball. A 3,44-kilometer course around the city of Umeå, covered two, three or even four times depending on the drivers.

On the chrono side, it is Thierry Neuville who proved to be the fastest. After a third pass in 2'09“6, the Belgian from Hyundai set a mark of 2'06“5 which was not beaten again. For his first outing of the year, Martins Sesks was the best representative of M-Sport with the second time 1“4 behind Neuville, followed byOtt Tänak, long-time leader, and Elfyn Evans.

On the podium at Monte-Carlo to open the season, Adrien fourmaux completed the Top 5 of this Shakedown of the Rally of Sweden. The Northerner made three passes, constantly improving for a best final time of 2'08“7.

A super-special stage is scheduled for this Thursday (19:05 p.m.) while the first day of the Rally Sweden will begin this Friday at 9:18 a.m. and will be available to follow live on AUTOhebdo, throughout the weekend.
