Thierry Neuville places Hyundai in the lead in Sweden

It will therefore be a three-way match tomorrow for the victory in the Rally from Sweden 2015. Throughout the first passage of this third stage, Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) had resisted to the different attacks of his teammate Sébastien Ogier. The World Champion, however, struggled more in the afternoon, leading the way on more degraded roads than in the morning. And it’s finally the Belgian Thierry Neuville, who at the cost of a final scratch time (and a jump record on the famous Colin's Crest passage with 44m) in SS18, came to take control of the race.

The Belgian driver has a tiny lead of 1″5 over Mikkelsen this evening. Ogier still remains in contention for victory with a delay of 9″6 on the new leader, which promises a fight at the top tomorrow on the three special stages remaining, including the double pass in Värmullsåsen (with a second run also serving as of Power Stage).

Mads ostberg watch this three-way match at over 53 seconds. The Citroën driver beats the Estonian's first Ford Fiesta Ott Tänak, 5th at 1'29″2. A time threatened by the Czech Martin Prokop for sixth place, the New Zealander Hayden Paddon regained some air and was 27″4 ahead of the Ford before the last stage. The struggle between the British Elfyn Evans (Ford) and Kris Meeke (Citroën) will also be followed on Sunday with a 0″ gap between the two drivers. Yuriy Protasov completes the Top 4 with his Ford Fiesta. Delayed yesterday, Robert Kubica (Ford) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen) still experienced some problems this Saturday, with time lost in the Swedish snow walls.

En WRC-2, the Finnish Jari Ketomaa, despite his tires suffering at the end of the day on his Fiesta R5, retains the lead in the category ahead of Eyvind Brynildsen (Ford Fiesta), second at 30″6. The first SS of the fourth day of Rally Sweden will begin tomorrow at 8:57 a.m. and can be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
