With a 15-point lead over its only rival in the Constructors' championship, the team Hyundai held the lead before this final. It started ideally, with its two best drivers in the lead from the start. At the end of SS3, Ott Tänak seemed to already have things well in hand. For his part, Thierry Neuville was a great surprise; contrary to his expectations, he was not at all
