Three for the WRC2 title at Rally Catalunya

There are three of them who can still claim the title in this competition. Andreas Mikkelsen, Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Emil Lindholm can be titled at the end of the Spanish round, but it is not impossible that the championship will only be played in Japan.

Three for the WRC2 title at Rally Catalunya

Among these three competitors, the Norwegian is the one in the worst position. Indeed, if the Toksport driver is ahead of his two rivals by 13 and 20 units, he has reached his quota of races and he can no longer improve his score. Andreas is simply no longer in control of his destiny and he could see his opponents overtake him in Salou. Having brought back the 2e place he had gone to find in New Zealand, Kajetanowicz must now finish the job and take control.

His task will not be easy, because Emil Lindholm won last year in WRC3 on this terrain, showing that he appreciates this event. For the Finn as for the Pole, the parameter to take into account will be that of competition. Yohan Rossel will try to end his season in style and the PH-Sport driver will not be the only one aiming for victory. Teemu Suninen, Nikolay Gryazin, but also the Spaniards Pepe Lopez, Jan Solans and Alejandro Cachon will also want to shine. Depending on the result at the Costa Daurada, Mikkelsen may not have completely ceded his crown yet, but if Kajetanowicz and Lindholm fail to overtake him, they will still have the opportunity to challenge for the rally from Japan (November 9-13). Neither has yet confirmed their participation in this latest trip, probably waiting for Spain's ranking to decide. 19 special stages are on the program for the 57e edition of Catalunya, i.e. 293,77 km timed on asphalt.
