A WRC-2 program for Yoann Bonato in 2016

Yoann Bonato will make his return to the world stage in 2016. After completing a convincing 2015 campaign in France at the wheel of a Peugeot 208 T16 R5 of the CHL Auto Sport, winning four victories in group R and above all a scratch success in the Cévennes, the Isère driver will move into WRC-2 next year.

Seven rounds will be on the program for Yoann Bonato next year, with a debut planned at Monte-Carlo (January 22-24). Portugal, Sardinia, Poland, Finland and Germany will follow, before the Tour de Corsica as a conclusion. At the same time, the Frenchman will compete again in the French Championship, still in the R5 category.

“What has happened to me over the past year within the CHL Auto Sport Team is simply incredible, comments Bonato, who was unable to find a complete program between 2010 and 2012, before shining in the Opel Adam Cup in 2013. With Denis Giraudet who will be at my side and Jean-Claude Vaucard, still at the helm, we will do our best to repay the trust they place in us.

In France, the objective will be to win as many victories as possible in group R and why not eye the title according to the program of our opponents. In the World Cup, it will be different. We are leaving for a two-year program: one year to learn, and one to earn. »
