A battle in England for Fourmaux

Although this meeting has existed since 1975, it only took the name of Malcolm Wilson in 1988 and this is the first time that it has entered the BRC, the English rally championship which has 7 rounds in 2023.

Having already raced in this region in 2020 with success, Adrien fourmaux has a good idea of the profile of the stages. On the other hand, he is curious about the level of his opponents. “ Honestly, I don't really know what to expect., he says. I think the competition will be there and it will be interesting to fight with candidates for the national title. I'm preparing for a beautiful rally and it will be a great opportunity to ride with the Rally2."

The Frenchman will have to be wary of Keith Cronin who has already won 4 crowns in England and who would like to equal Jimmy McRae's record. The Irishman has a Polo, but the most numerous cars are the Fiestas with James Williams, Elliot Payne and Callum Black. On paper, there is nothing insurmountable for Fourmaux who will especially take advantage of it to get back into the rhythm before Mexico, even if the two terrains are diametrically different.

Note that in this event Jourdan Serderidis will ride on a Puma Rally1 while Richard Millener, the M-Sport team manager is present with a Fiesta R2. Finally, Andrew Wheatley, FIA rally boss, also took out his antique Puma 1400 CC for a little spin in the forest.
